Don’t Try So Hard
DON’T TRY SO HARD

Don’t try so hard to come up with a journaling topic today. Just pick the first idea that comes to mind. Yes, you may not like doing this, if you are structured person like I am. Or, you may like it, because it’s very spontaneous. In any case, choose a topic and start writing about it. Use the free write technique for at least ten minutes and then stop. There now you’ve written an entry. You can keep it as it is. You can reread it and comment more on it or expand it. Or you can try the exercise again and see what new topic you can write a brief entry about it. Free writing is great for short writing sessions or sessions when you just want to write a short amount of information, rather than writing in-depth about one topic. Have fun!
