A blank book is an excellent place to store information about a project that you are researching. You can keep everything in one place, which I find very helpful. You can write lists of references, sources, topics, outlines, etc. You can also take notes, so that you don’t have to rely on index cards or other pieces of paper that might become lost or accidentally thrown away. You may also want to write several first draft pages of your report or whatever document you are preparing in your journal. Again, it’s all for you to practice and to sort out your ideas. You can also brainstorm about your topic or about ways to approach your topic using your journal. If you are working on a group project, sharing information from your journal during the meeting, as well as using it to take notes is also are also great ways to stay organized. You might even find that other group members may even want to compare notes with you at a later date.
When you discover some new ways to use your journal for a research project, please share you experiences here with our readers so that we can learn too.
I hope that this article is helpful to you. Please feel free to comment on it here.
