LIST OF 100

Writing a list of 100 items is a fun exercise as well as a good way to start brainstorming. It’s a good place to start when you are looking for some general direction. It’s a very simple technique to use, and usually produces a few useful results.
First, choose your topic.
Second, write your topic at the top of a piece of paper.
Third, list your answers, quickly, one by one.
Fourth, you may repeat any answers, but continue to write one per number.
Fifth, finish your list in one or two minutes, don’t stop and think too much about your answers.
Sixth, reread your list.
Seventh, mark any repeated answers.
Eighth, pay close attention answers around #75 on. Do any of these answers stand out to you?
Ninth, if not, look through the rest of the list, marking any answers that stand out to you.
Tenth, make a list of those answers. You can use them later to continue your brainstorming and journaling process.
You can use this technique over and over to help problem-solve, brainstorm and sort lots of information out at one time. Enjoy using it!
